Here is my poem for memorial day assembly that got chosen with other 5 poems ( including ambika!!!!!!!!!!!!)
In the sweltering sun, everyday they just march and train,
Sleeping in tents whether it’s snowstorm or terrible rain,
Food does not fill requirements or need,
They don’t have any complains even if they bleed.
Traveling across the sea to a place unknown,
Enjoying with some pleasing friends or sitting alone,
Nothing to do except polish rifles or plays games,
Memory is fading, now takes a while to learn names.
The battlefield is ahead, yet not a single sign of fear,
Somehow, now the memory of family is vivid and clear,
Saying the last goodbyes in their heads
Maybe they will lie on the bitter grounds or relaxing beds.
The blood drips everywhere and cries fill the air,
As long as people are safe, they did not care,
World Wide, people moaned as they started to fall,
And all gave some, but some gave all.
wow... that's really good!!!!
