Memorial Day

After a long time, I am finally going to post something for memorial day!!!!! Sorry everyone I was busy with writing all the essays and NJASK. Okay, back to the main topic. Memorial day is very vital holdiay in all American Holidays. It actually originated from the civil war. It is a day where you should remember brave soldiers who died in wars, such as World War I, World War II and etc.There is cool contest on my friend's blog, please look at it if you have time. http://www.keepingup-247.blogspot.com/ Similarly, I am holding a contest too, that my friend Roby suggested! I am going to post the best composition or a poem on what a true hero is or about somebody's struggles. I also want you to image the outcomes of the wars, if brave men and women (they also contributed) didn't fight for your freedom and safety. It is very important to honor them for their contribution. Oh, 1 more cool thing! Our school is going to send index cards or letters that we wrote to soldiers in Afganistan ( i m pretty sure that everyone knows about soliders fighting in Afganistan) . Please, please do something today that in honor off all the soldiers. There are a lot of veterans from World War II that you can find. Atleast listen to the national anthem or just read something intresting about memorial day. I am trying to go to arlington cemetary in Washington D.C where the tomb of the unknown soldier is. The tomb of the unknown soldiers represents all the soldiers who were never found by their families. Just imagine all the conditions soldiers lived in, no food, no entertainment, bad weather, bad sleeping conditions and I can"t even go a day without watching tv!! Since I know most of the people are not going to do anything, I am going to post a website about history of memorial day. In my opinion, this Memorial Day is for remembring American Soldiers, but you can remember all the soldiers that died world wide. Remember what I said today and have a great Memorial Day weekand !!!
